Cryptocurrency and Me

Bitcoin and Jason

I was a little late to the Bitcoin (cryptocurrency) party and I am embarrassed.  There has been a big shift in the world of currency and I missed it to the tune of $4,000/coin.  Ouch!

The research has been done and I officially missed the boat.  It’s out to sea and left without me.  Here’s the good news.  I rented a helicopter and got dropped off on the main deck.  Admittedly, I missed the first part of the party, but I’m here for the next part.

I tell you this so you don’t miss out on the change too.  I’m looking at you banks.  You too investors.  You too regular people who spend money.  Things are changing.

What have I done?

  1. Researched cryptocurrency
  2. Established a wallet on Coinbase
  3. Set up my account on GDAX
  4. Bought my first Bitcoin (BTC)
  5. Sold my first Bitcoin (fractional amount of holdings)
  6. Hooked up my bank accounts for transfers
  7. Bought my first Ether (ETH)
  8. Bought my first Litecoin (LTC)

What is next?

  1. Buy more coins
  2. Actively trade my coin positions
  3. Start my own cryptocurrency
  4. Continue my research

What should you do?

  1. See the section titled “What have I done?”  Follow that list.  Do not go too light on #1.

Look for more info to come on the brave new world of cryptocurrency and what it means for you.
