Facebook Commercial Dominance
Facebook has posted on their blog today that people go to their phones during commercial breaks. I’m not sure who still watches T.V. as it is being broadcast, but those who do tend to elect to give their attention to their phones instead of the commercials. This really isn’t earth shattering, but it does shed some light on the viability of television commercials in America today. If you haven’t taken a look at social media advertising, or influencer marketing (which I wrote about yesterday), then you are really missing the boat. Advertising and spend will follow the eyeballs and right now the eyeballs are following mobile devices.
